30 Week Belly Pictures - Then and Now
Here we are, in all of our glory. That's right, WE. I'm not taking all the blame for this!
Here I was at 30w1d with Joseph.
Oh, to be young (and thin) again...

There's a rumbly in my .... Ribcage? + belly pic and prenatal update
This morning while I was laying in bed my stomach started to growl. Except it wasn't in my tummy, it was in my ribs. I cannot express how bizarre that feels.
We had our prenatal appointments last week, and baby girl is looking good. She's still basically transverse. I think Joseph was until he was 28 or 32 weeks or more, so it's nothing to worry about for now. I gained almost 10lbs last month. Oops. My blood pressure is still catatonic, though, and I'm not swelling or anything.
I blame the fact that I have to drink a gallon of fluid per day now to stave off dehydration headaches, and I'm incapable of doing that with just water. So I've been drinking 1/2 gatorade 1/2 water - a half gallon of gatorade per day is not exactly the picture of health, but it's better than the alternative, I suppose. I'm sure the weight gain has nothing to do with ice cream, or chick-fil-a, or the 4th of July party and additional week we stayed with my inlaws, filled with mayo goodness.
I'm surprised at how different it is being pregnant in the summer. I thought it'd be no big deal, but it is.
So, anyway, I'm pretty enormous now. I'm creaky and cranky and sore and I waddle everywhere I go. I look about as pregnant as my friends who are a couple of months ahead of me, and I got my first "you POOR thing" at the store the other day when I said I wasn't due until the end of October. :P
Without further adieu, here are the photos:

20 Week Appointment and Belly Pic
We had 2 prenatals this week plus the ultrasound (I know, I still owe you pictures from that), so it was a very baby-centered week. Maybe that's why I've been feeling like I already have two kids in terms of workload?
I forgot to mention from the ultrasound that my placenta is anterior and to my left side - safe for delivery, but a PITA for trying to get a heartbeat using a fetoscope rather than a doppler, as that is where you generally find baby, and it's like getting a heartbeat through a pillow. I'll have to decide later what to do about that if they still have trouble with the fetoscope. I guess if they can't get it on the fetoscope I'll just have to use the doppler, but I hate to be using it twice a month. I'd still prefer to avoid excessive use of the doppler, but it's important to get good heart rates to make sure the baby is safe in there.
Here's a belly picture... I was not really in a great mood yesterday (or all this week, frankly), and I think the picture reflects that. I'm trying to smile more today - fake it till I make it. Hopefully this little bout of blues goes away quickly, otherwise I guess that's just another thing we'll have to address at my next prenatal.

As promised... 37w5d pic
Yes, I'm wearing a black top with blue pants. And yes, I know my belly is sticking out the bottom. it's about how 90% of the wardrobe wears lately! I promise I don't leave the house like that!
Sorry it took so long... maybe I'll be better with tomorrow's pictures! (click photo to enlarge)

37 weeks! Only 3 to go!
Can you believe it? We're in the home stretch.
I discovered yesterday that dresses are infinitely more comfortable than pants with my poor belly rash. I'm not a big fan of the tent look, but on the bright side my big belly disguises my cankles relatively well.
Thanks to my friend Laura for injecting my wardrobe with some comfort and style for the last month! Short girls with big bellies UNITE!
And yes, I can still rock it in 3" heels!

Yoga Baby
Yesterday one of my co-workers told me I "dropped". I do not believe this for a second, as I'm not quite 34w. However, something is different, because yoga was not very yogic yesterday. All the normal feel-good poses left me crampy (legs and toes, not belly), out of breath, and frustrated. It just felt like I was fighting my body the whole time. I ended up sitting and breathing a lot instead of doing the exercises. It's good to listen to my body, though.
So here is my latest belly picture (33w5d pregnant - taken yesterday). You can tell I'm getting desperate to make my appearance better because there is a curling iron on the counter. I curled my hair yesterday. That is really quite unheard of. I don't think it distracted anyone though!

30 weeks - belly time line!
I know you've all been waiting with baited breath. Hehe. I have grown considerably! Sadly, I think I've crossed over to just "gigantic" instead of "cute-pregnant".
I don't mind, as it means we're getting close to seeing the baby! I'm getting excited to meet him or her. It's neat that there is still so much mystery involved!

Mover and Shaker
Baby has been INSANELY active the last couple of days. Because of my dedication to the blog, you lucky readers can enjoy the effects on my belly! This required serious dedication - I had to sit in my rocking chair with my camera and watch the belly. And you all know how I hate to be in my chair. I mean, I only spend like 3 hours a day in it. [Edit: Nevermind T.J.'s golfing discussion going on the background! It was almost 70 here today, so he went golfing!]
So, here's the baby rolling from left to right. There is a kick about 5 seconds in, and then the baby does this roll thing towards the right side. I have to breathe still, so you just have to deal with that!
The second one is also a big roll from left to right. Don't ask me how it is always going from left to right - it is. I *think* it's just it's leg, but who knows. This baby keeps me guessing. This one has some little kicks early on, but the big action starts about 15 seconds into it:
The last one is a big swift kick on my right side. Baby gets me at about 10 seconds I think:
Hopefully you find this as fun to watch I do. We're having lots of fun watching the baby grow!

Why MuMu's are not popular
This is not a mumu, it's a sweater I bought before I had any sort of belly, so I was not hip to the jive of how a belly can make a sweater look. I think I look a bit like certain characters from Alice in Wonderland. All I'm missing is the giant bow:
Hmm, I'm beginning to think the maternity clothing industry may take their cues from tweedle dee and tweedle dum!
Here is the same night - 26w5d Pregnant
I much prefer my yoga wear.

22w5d belly shots!
(horizontal stripes are probably not the best choice)
T.J.'s not-so-wise words of the week: "Well, you don't look that bad from the front!"
(I'm just giving him a hard time... he digs my belly. That really is what he said though!)
