2mo Pediatrician Visit

a pic unrelated to today's post... but too adorable!
We saw the new pedi today - Dr. Kute. I got a great vibe from her. Joseph's stats:

Head: 39.3 cm (32%)
Weight: 11lb 0 oz (31%)
Height: 23.5 in (69%)

Since he fell off his curve from his one-month appointment and he's been vomiting a lot, the pedi wants me to cut dairy and see how it goes. ::cry::

Leave me tips in the comment section if you've had to do this! I'm getting a farewell milkshake tonight for SURE!

such an adorable pic!!! sorry about the dairy. i'm lactose intolerant so i feel your pain! you can get lots of calcium from green veggies and such. soy milk is okay, not sure if that's a good substitute for the babe. i'm experimenting with coconut milk since it's more natural and it's okay so far. good luck ):

I've had to cut dairy for my fertility treatments (traditional Chinese medicine) and had to be really strict about it. It's not the worse thing in the world to lose I guess, but I would suggest not replacing all your dairy products (except maybe organic soy milk) with soy products. Do some research on those - pretty scary stuff and HIGHLY processed. Good luck!

Wow, what a squeezeable picture!!! About the dairy, did she give you any suggestions about maybe lactaid or maybe an organic ice cream or something or do you just have to quit the dairy completely? I never had to do that so I have no suggestions, darn it..

My best friend had to cut dairy and soy for both of her boys. Replacing soy for dairy is not always a good idea. Proteins in soy are similar to those in diary, so if Joseph is very sensitive to milk proteins, he might also be sensitive to soy proteins.

watch for soy too. i thought that would be an easy switch but it made him really really gassy. i ended up having to cut all cow products. when he was around 7-9 month old i could slowly add them back in.
